CADS (Creative Arts Development Space), Sheffield, UK

Working collaboratively with Chris Graham, Katya Robin and Lizzy Levy we created site-specific work that related to the white gallery space, the black clubroom and the inter-connecting courtyard, working to the constraints of black, white and grey materials. It was an exploration of wonderful oddments ranging from the pragmatic, the discarded, and the temporary through to subtle neutrals.

The work changed daily functioning as an open studio. We made new work on the fly, working on large scale together, open to debate and cross-disciplinary influences. Being present throughout the project, we actively welcomed visitors; artists’ tours and discussion groups were available by appointment.

CC1 was a hybrid art event – a fusion of collective artists’ residency, open studio, live art, exhibition and participation.
